Happy New Year!

 Hello Everyone!
There is something so exciting to me about a new year. It's like a blank page just waiting to be written on. 2013 was a wonderful year and I'm looking forward to what 2014 will bring!
We're looking forward to our visit to WI. and getting to see family and friends. Although, I must admit, we aren't looking forward to the cold! I think we've gotten spoiled by the warmth and sunshine. Today is only in the 50's and I'm chilly. I've resisted turning on the heat in our apartment though. It is 68' in here so it's not like it's freezing, it just feels a little cool.
Ben is finally taking his motorcycle class this weekend. He is really looking forward to being able to ride his bike again. I'm not as excited about it though...:)

Leah is really growing up. She is almost 8 months now and has four teeth now.

Buddy loves having the children around. Often when they leave, he will just lay by the door and whine! He gets very excited and wild every morning when he hears them outside.
May God be with you all and draw you every closer to Him.
 With love,
Esther

Life!

So I had all these great intentions about updating more often, but it's been two months...:( What can I say? We've had a lot of company the last couple months and had a wonderful time. It seems really quite around here now.

Ben's Grandpa died and we're really hoping to make it up to WI. in January for the memorial service. It will probably just be a pretty quick trip but we are hoping to squeeze some visiting in somehow. I'll guess we'll have to wait and see how that all goes.

Buddy is really growing and is so much fun to have around!
Have a great day!

Buddy!

Meet our puppy Buddy! We got him about a week and a half ago and he is settling in well. I love having a dog around again:)
We had a great visit with my family. It went by so quickly though. And right after they left, I got really sick:( Thankfully I am feeling much better now, but I think I gave it to Ben...

Company!

Some of my family is coming tonight, and we're really looking forward to it!
The past week has been quite uneventful. Tuesday evening we took a walk along the beach at sunset and got a few pictures.

Yesterday Ben had the day off and we ran some errands and went on a date. We tried a pizza buffet place and it was yummy! We're really enjoying trying new places and exploring:)
Today, Lucian (the 4 year old I watch) is coming, and I have a couple things to get ready for sleeping arrangements for my family.
Keep looking to Jesus for your all!

Regular Updates???

Hello!

I would like to try and do more regular updates for my family since we moved so far away! I'm going to try and post at least once a week.. we'll see how that goes!

As most of you know, our dog Trooper (who we had to leave behind in WI:( We are currently living in an apartment, and he was super high energy. We just didn't feel like he would be able to get all the exercise he needed here) just recently died:( I've been having a really hard time with it. I feel guilty for leaving him behind, and just miss him so much. Anyways, Ben and I decided to do some research and try and find a dog that would do ok in an apartment. Not to take Trooper's place, but just because we are animal people and REALLY miss having a dog. From what we found, and looking at a lot of dogs, we have decided to get a cocker spaniel. Like this one maybe!

And some guy came into Ben's work place yesterday and said he has some that are seven months old, for a very reasonable price. So, we're hoping to look at them sometime soon. We'll have to wait and see if that works out or not.

Other than that, I've been babysitting every. single. day. I love it, even though it can get tiring at times! It's nice to be appreciated and have the parents recommend you to their friends and co-workers, but I'm having to learn to say no!

The baby that I watch is almost 5 months old already. She is a cute little chunk. We don't have a washer and dryer yet, so I have to put her in the baby carrier and carry her and the laundry down four flights of stairs to the laundry room. Thankfully it is not very far, and I get a nice workout!
Lately she has been going through this phase were she'll only drink 1/2 oz. at a time! She is a little stinker, but I love having her around!

We're really looking forward to my parents and a couple of my siblings coming next weekend! They'll be here for 5 days, I think:)

On the adoption front, there is nothing new to report. Just saving, and waiting, and praying! Please continue to pray for us that God would give us the patience and trust in Him that we need to live day by day. We've been waiting for children for seven years, and sometimes, honestly I'm sick of waiting:( May His will be done.

 We love you all!

Seven years:)

Monday will be seven years since Ben and I got married! It is so incredible how fast the time has gone. I thank God for blessing me with such a loving and amazing husband. And I hope and pray that we have many more years to share life together!

Settled in.

Hello! Wow, it has been a long time since I wrote! We moved to FL. in June and are settled in. Ben is enjoying his new job, and I have found four children to take care of in our home. I've been enjoying it a lot, even though it can be quite challenging some days! I've never had all four of them at the same time yet though.
I'm looking forward to my parents and oldest sister coming down for a visit in October. We haven't made many friends here yet, and so it is a little lonely sometimes. I know that will get better with time and as we meet more people! it definitely encourages me to get "out of my shell" more:)

This is Leah, the baby that I have five days a week. She is such a good baby and I love having her around!
I hope that you are all doing well!
